Versatile Clothes | Spring Wardrobe | Teacherfashionista | Jules

I’m starting a new round up of clothes that easily work overtime in my closet. I can wear these tops to work with colored skinny pants or dress pants like these with pointy toe pumps. And I can dress them down for “play” on the weekend meeting a friend for coffee or brunch, running errands, or having a backyard BBQ or family get together. I always worry about paying a pretty penny for clothes I won’t get much use out of, or will only be able to wear on the weekends.  Obviously, with jeans and shorts – there’s not really a choice. But, finding a cute top that easily goes from work week to weekend fun (or vice versa) always helps me feel … Read More

Before I dive into the topic at hand, how is it already mid October? Is anyone else baffled at how quickly the months pass by? Ruffle Sleeve Dress | Fall Floral Dress | Teacherfashionista | Jules

The bell and ruffle sleeve trend is so popular right now! I have had such a hard time finding a style that works for me, though, without feeling like they’re going to slip into my food or get in my way even with my long arms. Every time I’ve been to Old Navy recently, I have to admit that I absolutely couldn’t stop looking at how pretty this gray and cream floral print was! I passed on it a few times while I browsed through all of the pretty new clothes in the store, until I decided to just give it a try-on since the ruffle sleeves were a 3/4 length. Let me tell you, I just died over the … Read More

The 2017-18 school year is here! Teachers in my district are going back for Inservice this week, and students come August 7th. You guys is it just me, or did those 2 months of summer break absolutely fly by?! I feel like every year my summer break goes quicker than the last! We moved from the house we’d been renting for 2.5 years (our landlord decided to sell it) into an apartment (and storage unit) right as the school year was ending, so I do feel like I spent a lot of my summer trying to get us settled in a bit. I always feel blessed to have time off in the summer, though, and know that is a perk … Read More

Grace & Lace | Striped Tee | Spring to Summer | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Transitioning into summer isn’t hard to do with light colors, airy tops, and gold accents. This Grace & Lace top has the prettiest flowy details all the way around that will flatter any silhouette. The way it drapes allows it to feel carefree while still looking put together enough to wear it to work. I think it will transition well into summer with a cute pair of shorts, too! It also comes in black and white stripes — I can never have too many of that color combo! I paired this top with skinny jeans, and then added gold accents to top off the look. This is sure to be a go-to top in your closet! And, for those cooler summer days … Read More

Army Green Waterfall Cardigan | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Happy Thanksgiving week! What is everyone doing over the holiday weekend? E and I are driving north 2 hours with our two pups to a cabin for a few days to enjoy the fact that November has finally brought us some clouds and cool temperatures! I just love this “fall in Arizona” time of year! It’s time to pull out the long sleeves, boots, and sweaters. After almost 9 months in my summer clothes and shoes, I am so happy to pull out pieces like this beautiful olive green waterfall cardigan! Not only am I in love with the color, I think the waterfall front is so feminine and adds a unique look to this tie top. It’s polyester, so this is … Read More

Car Wash Skirt | Who What Wear | Teacherfashionista

Target’s Who What Wear collection is so much fun to shop! There are a number of fabulous patterns and palettes throughout the line, and they are easy to mix and match with staple pieces you probably already have in your closet. Think navies, maroons, blacks, whites, and olives. Fall is here, and I always keep my eye out for clothes that transition well from “Indian summers” into the cool autumn temperatures that will eventually come. This “Car Wash Skirt” is like a new take on pleats. It is SO flowy and flirty, especially in the breeze. The fit of this skirt reminds me of a more snug pencil skirt, but the fabric pieces attached along the top that garnish the skirt give it a full and airy look.   In … Read More
