Fall Looks with Venus

When we went away to Northern California a week ago, I had the best time planning for fall outfits. I love the casual look of this sweater. The fabric feels like a thick waffle knit, and has a nice structure to it. I paired it with some tall brown boots to dress it up a bit, and think it would also look cute with gray Uggs for an even more casual spin.

When we stayed in the Big Sur area for a few days mid-October for our anniversary trip, we were in a cabin with the view of the ocean. I enjoyed the beauty with a cup of coffee each morning on the deck – talk about relaxing! I wore this pink cardigan with leggings to stay warm and cozy, and put on a pair of boots when it was time to walk to breakfast up the road with Eric.

The time of year has finally come when we need to grab a jacket on the way out the door in the mornings and evenings. I love these crisp temperatures! A little black dress is the perfect base to an outfit for a weekend night out, and it can easily be layered with a favorite cardigan, jacket, blazer, or duster to complete your look in the fall.

One of my new favorite pastimes in preparing for a blog post is styling something more than once. So of course I had to try it with Venus! I chose a leather trim blazer, and styled it with work pants for a Monday-Thursday, and with jeans for casual Friday. Love the pop of blue the earrings added!
