Upcoming Summer Roadtrip!

Now, on to today’s post and exciting news! You might be wondering why I’m posting a sweater when I live in Arizona and it’s been between 110 and 117 for a good number of weeks now. Well, I am getting outfits together for our upcoming road trip! Eric and I will be visiting the Grand Canyon this weekend (for my first time – E was there in his 20’s), and I couldn’t be more excited to check this off my bucket list. The HIGHS will be a glorious 85-87 degrees each day, and the LOWS about 53-55. I am pumped to take a break from our “oven” to be in the cool weather!! I can’t wait to share our trip with you – have any of you been there? Leave a comment and tell me what “hotspot” we MUST SEE while we are up at the Canyon!!

This outfit combo is coming with me for sure. I think open/loose knit sweaters are perfect for summer because you can layer them over a cami and you gain sleeves, but don’t feel trapped under a heavy layer. It looks so cute with shorts or jeans! If you follow me on Instagram, you know these Silver Jeans have been a summer staple with their cute ankle length and raw hem. I am packing both of these tops – the sleeveless one for morning/afternoon, and a loose knit summer sweater to throw on when it gets chilly. (Because after living in such high temps for a month, anything under 85 feels cold – I’m such a wimp!)

Amazon Prime Day!

OOOO! And one more thing…. it’s Amazon Prime Day – what are you browsing for!? Last year I missed out on an awesome kitchen food scale, and I’m hoping another one is out there this year.
