Hey all! Nordstrom is having its big sale next week, so in today’s post I want to share some of my thoughts followed by information to help you get ready to shop.

NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE QUESTIONS

Q: Are you going to shop the sale?

A: YES! I enjoy browsing any sale, and use the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale as a way to add to my “back to school” and fall/winter wardrobe. (I will only be sharing what I personally buy, and what has been requested by my followers/readers.)

Q: What do you usually shop for?

A: A bunch of the things featured in the sale will be new arrivals! I mostly look for jeans, boots, and cardigans or sweaters (depending on which is trending for the season). Last year I also got my first ever Natori bra, and am hoping to snag another one this year, too. (See more on my finds below.)

Q: What are your favorite Anniversary Sale brands?

A: This is TOUGH! I have to say AG Jeans, Halogen, Leith, Vince Camuto, Sam Edelman, Kendra Scott, BLANK NYC, and Gibson (I’m sure I missed a few!)

Q: Will your blog be a shopping resource as I browse the sale?

A: Yes! I’m shopping the Anniversary Sale anyway AND I am a blogger, so I just think why not share some of the things you’ve been requesting via Instagram polls (see the list below) and my finds as I go? So if there’s something you’re shopping for and you don’t see it listed, fill me in! And if you don’t care about this sale, or don’t want to shop it, no worries!

Real Talk:

I saw a comment come across an account on Instagram the other day that said “I want to shop for things I actually need, and not just spend because everything is on a great sale.” Let me assure you of this: In all of the hype of a good deal or a mega sale, I never want to be someone who is pushing for you to buy what you don’t need. I’m not an expert on this sale by any means, just a regular shopper (and teacher!) like many of you. I want to be an inspiration, not a sales rep. 

My Advice:

If you feel pressured to buy or annoyed because of the hype that goes around during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I encourage you to ground yourself by starting a little wishlist ahead of time of the things you would like to get if they are part of the sale, and what price point(s) you hope to stay under.

DATES TO KNOW

Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning to shop the sale, too!

Q: When does it start and when do prices go up?

A: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts a week from Friday, July 12th at 12:30PM EST for Nordstrom card holders! If you don’t have the Nordstrom card, you can browse the sale at that time and then shop when public access starts Friday, July 19th. Prices return to normal on August 5th.

I love that Nordstrom offers amazing customer service plus free shipping & free returns – because we all change our mind now and then.
