In continuing my partnership with Jane.com, this month I shopped for summer essentials – things you can’t go through the summer season without! Almost everyone has a vacation planned (however big or small), and if not, there’s definitely a trip to the community water park or pool, or maybe a long weekend getaway. My mind immediately goes to: dressing for a pool day and a summer evening out!

1) Bathing Suit
2) Sunglasses
3) Kimono/Coverup
4) Tote/Bag
5) Necklace and/or Bracelets

One of the top summer trends is one-piece bathing suits – YAY! There are TONS to choose from, and I found that on any given day, even Jane was featuring boutiques with the cutest swimwear options (for kids, too!). I love swimsuits that have details like this one’s lace v-neck. I ended up with a medium, and love the halter-top fit and coverage in the back.

Another thing that can be fun about a summer day at the pool or beach, is finding accessories to go with your look. I added sunglasses (no-brainer) and turquoise – which is a favorite go-to when I wear black or white in the summer. I found a turquoise stone necklace and some stacking bracelets. We can’t forget about a cover-up either. There’s always the option to wear a dress over suits, or throw on a pair of shorts, but I couldn’t get over this flowy white kimono! It is beautiful, light, and airy – perfect for a hot summer day. Lastly, I completed this summer pool & beach look with a handmade basket-weave bag. A girl’s gotta have her phone, sunscreen, and beach towel with her!Summer Essentials | Jane.com | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Summer Evening Out

1) Sunglasses and/or Jewelry

(I chose both with the cutest fringe earrings!)

2) Tank/Tee
3) Shorts
4) Wedges

(Similar here and here)

5) Bag or Crossbody

High-waisted shorts and knotted tops are all the rage right now. I love the tulip hems, and being that Jane had these pink high-waisted shorts with the cute tassel-tie, I knew they were for me. I decided on a tank (it’s SO hot here!) and put a white bralette underneath. If a bra is going to peek out from under a tank or tee that has low sides, then a lace bralette is the way to go! Take any plain tee or tank and knot it, and you’ve just jazzed up your look in the easiest way!Summer Essentials | Jane.com | Teacherfashionista | Jules
