5 of my Favorite Cold Weather Tops

I have tried to welcome 2021 feeling hopeful. I didn’t scurry to make any new year’s resolutions, but instead gave myself grace to set monthly goals. This has felt more attainable, and again, who needs more stress on their plate for all the things not going “picture perfect”? Not me!

I will say that so far 2021 hasn’t been more impressive than 2020 in any way, but I do believe that you see what you want to, so try to focus on the good things. When I count my blessings, I am thankful for my loving spouse, a healthy/thriving family, teaching in person, our home, sunshine, and pups just to name a few.

And through things that are outside of our control, I dwell on His promises:

Today I’m sharing 5 of my favorite cold weather tops and how I’ve worn them to work and on the weekends. The best part? Many of the things I’m sharing on are on a great sale and even clearance!

Winter Top 1: Fleece Turtleneck Sweatshirt

This sweatshirt has been a DREAM because it was so perfect to wear during “lockdown” days, then easily transitioned to wear on days teaching at school. I still wear it a lot on weekends when I want to be in my distressed jeans or leggings. I have found it to be very cute with boots or sneakers. (It’s so cute I got it in 2 colors!!)

Winter Top 2: High-low Oversized Turtleneck Sweater

Talk about a comfortable, polished sweater! I like it because it’s a bit of a thinner material and I don’t feel hot when I’m running around the classroom. I ordered the black one during one of American Eagle’s 50% off sales, and it was SO good! I hopped back online and got the other two solid colors and haven’t looked back. I have been grabbing them to wear for work A LOT this winter.

Winter Top 3: Any and All Cardigans!

This is a give in, especially if you have a lot of basic pants, jeans, or camis/tank tops. Cardigans make it SO easy to get dressed – I just pick white or black to wear underneath, a necklace or earrings, matching shoes and call it good!

Winter Top 4: Off-the-Shoulder Pullover Sweater

Once restaurants started opening, I was excited to get out again. This off-the-shoulder sweater has been a go-to for me when I want to wear a sweater but still show some skin. I wore it a year ago to my sister’s birthday brunch on the Restoration Rooftop Restaurant in MSP, and again this past January for brunch with my blogger friend Linds!
