Holiday Gift Ideas | 2021

Instead of decorating for Christmas this weekend (I can’t wait to!!!), I will dream of it and get into Christmas shopping mode instead. We always hold off on making the house a winter wonderland until after Thanksgiving dinner – do you?

Every year as December creeps closer, Eric and I both enjoy finding the perfect things for our loved ones. We typically Outlet shop at Tanger because they have such great deals, and then finish up with a few online stores. I always look forward to doing it together – there’s just something about finding perfect things for everyone!

Who are you shopping for? In my gift ideas for 2021, I included gifts for her, for him, for teachers, and dog lovers (like us!), plus a few of our favorite things, too!  My ideas usually go beyond clothes, although I’ll add in some cozy ones or staple pieces. Take a look at the shopping boards I rounded up below and leave a comment if you see anything that catches your eye. I’d love to hear what types of gifts you are usually on the hunt for! I’ve also heard who knows what shipping will look like over the next 2 months, so I guess it’ll be good to start looking for gifts early this year.

To be honest, I would say that a kind email / card, and something hand written or drawn by a student is at the top of heart warming gifts. Gift baskets go a long way, too, if you know particular things teachers enjoy or like (ie: coffee, spa/relaxing, food/snacks, etc). A few years back I got a gift basket filled with a bunch of different salsas and taco type of things and I couldn’t get over how fun that was!

Creating a basket with a gift card, themed favorites, and topping it off with a meaningful letter would probably be on the top of every teacher’s wishlist! Here are some ideas:

If you know someone who is into shoes, loves to wear the current trends, or needs new booties/shoes for the season, I have a one-stop-shop for you! Fashion Junkee is a place I started shopping 6+ years ago, and eventually began a partnership with. I am so happy to work with this brand because the owner is VERY caring toward her customers, LOVES to keep up with top shoe trends while keeping the prices affordable and offering a nice quality! I wear shoes from Fashion Junkee while I’m teaching nearly every day. They’re that GOOD! Use code XOJULES with any purchase from their site for a discount!

Below are some items from them I’ve worn and loved over the past couple of years – slip on sneakers, snakeskin booties, faux fur boots, knee high wedge boots, sherpa pull over, leopard and Aztec cardigans, and more!

Here’s a VERY SMALL sample of other things they offer — click HERE to shop!

It’s been over 2 years now since It’s a Star Baby reached out to me to feature their lanyards. She’s a fellow teacher with amazing creative juices and much kindness. I have been a long-time hunter for good lanyards that have a good “necklace”, aren’t heavy, and don’t clash when wearing jewelry, LOL! THIS shop has it down, using a gentle, soft cord that is adjustable. She has so many great silicon bead choices which are nice and light-weight, and it’s awesome that they’re washable and BPA free! You can custom any order (think school colors!) and choose your metal color. I am so in love with these and highly recommend them! Any teacher would love this gift! She also does bracelet keychains, and I am just as into those! 🙂

Another favorite shop of mine is De’Avion Blu Innovations founded and run by Tiffaney (another fellow teacher!)! We connected when she sent me my #Teach tee to feature a few years back. It became a quick teacher fav to wear with jeans on Fridays, or under cardigans with a pair of dress pants any other day of the week. Now I own a couple of tees from her, and have my eye on a sweatshirt! 😉 She also sells the cutest stickers (think for your water bottle or lap top), and pins (to put on your denim jacket or a cute canvas bag!).  Any of her shop items would make a wonderful gift for a teacher in your life!

If you end up picking up a gift from the ideas in this post, I’d love to hear about it from you in the comments or on Instagram! Come say hi! Hope you have a wonderful start to the holiday hustle and bustle! (My favorite time of year!)
