How to take your Booties into Summer

Part of being a budget-conscious shopper is stretching your closet staples to fit into more than one season. Booties are so great for this! These faux-suede lace-up cut-out booties are from Fashion Junkee and also come in gray and camel brown. They are SO trendy right now the way they wrap around your ankles with such fun tassel ties. Take them from fall into spring and summer with these style tips:

  1. Find an ankle style with some openings in the design whether with a peep toe, cut-outs, or lace-ups.
  2. Pair them with shorts. Find some frayed, distressed denim in white, black, or blue jean.
  3. Make it a boho look with a summer vest or kimono, duster, wrap, or oversized sweater (for those cool nights).
  4. Match them to one of your outfit pieces. Black booties? I suggest sticking with solid blacks, whites, or grays as your main outfit, then adding some color with an accessory (such as suggested in #3 above). If you have neutral or cognac booties, choose more colorful clothing. Not into wearing colors or patterns? Add pops of color with statement jewelry or a unique, colorful bag.
