We welcomed fall this weekend, and I am amazed at how fast this time of year has come around again! In 2 weeks, my school district’s 1st quarter will end, and we will have a week off for “Fall Break.” At times I feel like we just started. But I welcome the season, and love it when the school year picks up the pace!
When I think of fall, I immediately picture changing leaves, and warm colors like mustard yellow, burnt orange, and rusty red. Even though it won’t feel like fall for awhile here, I will still try to break out some fall hues which is what I did with this yellow top. I paired it with a number of pieces I already own, and know the outfit possibilities will continue – picture it with skirts, scarves, boots, and cardigans. See my style ideas below!
Yellow Top with Navy Pants
My first outfit is for our “now” weather, but you could consider it a summer look. I paired the top with navy ankle-length dress pants I got at the Wild Horse Pass Banana Republic Factory Outlet last month. I LOVE the fit and style of them. I wanted to wear ankle strap block heels with them for a dressier look, but I don’t have a pair like that. So, I opted for my favorite nude wedges instead. I think adding turquoise earrings like these would be a fun touch! (I forgot to take my hair scrunchy off my arm for this photo… oops!)

Yellow Top with Burgundy Pumps
This next outfit is pretty similar, I just paired it with patterned ankle- length dress pants and switched to some favorite colored Michael Kors pumps – they’re SO comfortable! I love the way burgundy goes with this color of yellow. It makes for added interest to an otherwise plain, polished outfit.

Yellow Top with a Denim Jacket
If you don’t care about white after Labor Day, then you keep a lot of extra outfit options in your closet! I LOVE pairing white, denim, and cognac together for fall. The pop of yellow looks SO good with these colors. This might be my favorite look of the four I styled.

Yellow Top for Casual Friday
My last look is for casual Friday or even a weekend lunch or outing. I think yellow and leopard are complimenting to each other, so wearing them together with a favorite pair of jeans was a no-brainer for me. Add a cream-colored knit vest, a black blazer like this one, or a long cardigan in black or burgundy, and you’re fall-temperatures-ready.

Yellow Top with a Skirt
I think that this top tucked into a skirt would look just beautiful! I always appreciate the skirts that LOFT has for work, and found a number of colors, styles, and patterns that I would pair with this yellow top and a nude pair of pumps. Click through the carousel below to shop any of the skirts!
Which look is your favorite? Do you have a fall color that you think offers versatility in your closet? I love finding multiple ways to wear things. Have a great week, all! Thanks for stopping by. XO

Hi Jules. Yellow is such a great colour for the autumn season. It fits the coloured leaves, but also prolongs summer a bit. I love how you have styled your yellow top is so many different ways. I think my personal favourite is the outfit with the jeans, since I just love the colour combination yellow and blue a lot. Love, Lieske
Thank you Lieske! I love it with the jeans, too! I wish we could wear jeans more often to work 🙂
