How was your Thanksgiving holiday? Did any of you get out to shop over Black Friday? E and I had the best little getaway over Thanksgiving at a rental cabin 3 hours north of Phoenix. It was chilly with lows in the 20’s and highs in the 40’s – so we stayed cozy inside, eating our turkey near the heat, and watching Christmas movies together with our 2 pups. Friday we went out exploring nearby, and took our dogs on a walk in the woods once the temperatures got above 40 degrees.

Friday was a chance for me to break out a festive-looking outfit! Not only were we driving around site-seeing in perfectly chilly weather, we also got lunch, and then snapped a quick photo for our Christmas card in the woods. I don’t know about you, but I have a few parties and get togethers to attend with December right around the corner. Some are fancier than others, and this is an outfit that will work well for a casual holiday get together. The festive red scarf makes it perfect for December, and my favorite pair of distressed denim gives this a great casual vibe. You could dress it up, too, with black liquid leggings and OTK boots like these, too!
