We’re headed back to school, and the summers feel shorter and shorter with each passing year! I don’t know a single teacher who doesn’t feel like we just locked our classroom doors ready to enjoy the freedoms of summer time. However, here we are – ready or not. Some of us have already started the school year, and some of us have the start date quickly approaching. Regardless, we are all in planning mode!
Outfit planning can be an important part of planning for the school year, too! A teacher who looks and feels his/her best will feel more empowered to take on a day of endless tasks, questions, chatty students, and more. And, if you’re a fashionista like me, you look forward to dressing up everyday!
I went back to school shopping with Banana Republic Factory and had such a great time! Their store atmosphere is energetic, clean, and friendly. Plus, you can NOT beat the discounted factory prices! Teachers, take note! Banana Republic and Banana Republic Factory will be increasing the teacher discount to 20% off your purchase, excluding clearance, now through August 30th. All you need to do is show your teacher ID! Please reach out to a store for full details.
Styling a Skirt for Work: Summer-Fall
When I got this skirt, I knew I could pair it with a few different tops to come up with numerous looks. To keep with our warmer temperatures right now, this feminine white bow-tie top is perfect! I paired it with nude flats and carried my berry tassel bag for a pop of color. I can also see myself pairing this skirt with a black cardigan and black booties later in the fall and into winter. See more ideas below!

Banana Republic Factory is offering such great colors right now! I love the fact that I can brighten up this gray skirt with a gem-colored mockneck top, too! I dressed up the look with some nude heels and am set for a more professional look that can easily take me from work to dinner out.
