Hello October 2020! We are finishing up Quarter 1 in my school district and welcoming fall to Arizona with open arms because guys – it has been VERY hot here still – close to 105 every day. It’s hard to believe we have 8 weeks of learning under our belt already – 6 online, and 2 in person (and still teaching a handful of kindergarten students online, too). I have to say, having students in person has been SO good for my teacher heart! It’s been almost 7 months of no in-person interaction with my little students, and now with the changes in place for health and safety for the time being, we are thriving together once again. I am counting my blessings amidst the exhaustion and consistent overtime hours I’m putting in to keep everything running smoothly in person and online. I keep telling myself: It’s worth it. This won’t be forever. (We can pray so, right?)

With teaching in person finally comes dressing up again! I missed it, I’ll be honest. Dressing business on top and comfy on the bottom was getting too boring as I have a pretty limited amount of lounge clothes. So, it’s time for some outfit inspo for the [coming, hopefully!] fall weather!

Fall Outfit 1: Midi Skirt

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel in a midi skirt only being 5’5″, but I LOVE this one! It is so perfect for fall, and I enjoyed wearing it to work so much with the stretchy, comfortable fabric. Being a midi skirt, it also gives off a nice, polished and professional look. I styled it very work-friendly below, but know it would also be cute on the weekend with sneakers and a graphic tee, too. As it gets colder, I’d love it with some tan booties and a chunky white sweater!

Fall Outfit 2: Wide-leg Pants

These pants are as good as it gets for a polished, trendy, and comfortable pant all-in-one. I love the high waist and the thick fabric! I had the hardest time deciding which color to get (yay for so many choices!), and really love them through warm and cooler temps. Here they are styled for fall – one way more casual, one more dressed up.

Fall Outfit 3: Black Jegging

These black jeggings have been my go-to pants for the past 3 years. I have them in regular length and short length and like to switch between the two for different types of shoes and weather. I love the short length with mules and sneakers, so wore them for these looks. This activewear top was too cute not to play around with a work-look with it, too! I wore some high-waisted pants so it wouldn’t show my midsection, and that worked great.
