Tis the Season to Gift: Holiday Gift Ideas

Teacher FashionistaFeatured Brands, Sales, Special OccassionsLeave a Comment

Today I’m excited to share some gift ideas! Have you started to gift shop yet? Or maybe you’re an early bird and are finishing up already. (BTW teach me your ways – I’m a very last minute person!) I’m always looking for ideas beyond giving clothing or a gift card, although I enjoy giving people those things. So in this “gifting” post, I rounded up a bunch of unique gifts you can personalize, use or wear around your house, and more. I had so much fun thinking of things people usually like and notice when out shopping, but maybe wouldn’t get for themselves. Eric and I always enjoy sitting down together finding the perfect things for our loved ones. We typically Outlet shop at Tanger, and then finish up with a few online stores. I always look forward to doing it together – there’s just something about finding perfect things to brighten the faces of ones you love.

Who are you shopping for? In this post, I included gifts for her, him, teachers, and dog lovers (like us!), plus a few favorite SMALL BUSINESS spots to shop, too! When the 2020 holiday season is over in a month, our hearts will reflect on the simple things that made it feel like the best time. We will feel full of not only good food, but new memories, too…. and the gifts will just be an added loving touch.

Take a look at the shopping boards I rounded up below and leave a comment if you see anything that catches your eye. I’d love to hear what types of gifts you are usually on the hunt for!

SHOP SMALL FOR SHOE LOVERS

If you know someone who is into shoes, loves to wear the current trends, or needs new booties/shoes for the season, I have a one-stop-shop for you! Fashion Junkee is a place I started shopping 6+ years ago, and eventually began a partnership with. I am so happy to work with this brand because the owner is VERY caring toward her customers, LOVES to keep up with top shoe trends while keeping the prices affordable and offering a nice quality! I wear shoes from Fashion Junkee while I’m teaching nearly every day. They’re that GOOD! I’ll be featuring this shop over Black Friday & Cyber Monday – so keep your eye on my Instagram Stories (for shoes + clothes)! Don’t forget to use code XOJULES with any purchase from their site for a discount!

SHOP SMALL FOR TEACHERS

Teacher Lanyards / Key Chain Bracelets + New Moms / Babies

It’s been over a year now since It’s a Star Baby reached out to me to feature their lanyards. She’s a fellow teacher with amazing creative juices and much kindness. I have been a long-time hunter for good lanyards that have a good “necklace”, aren’t heavy, and don’t clash when wearing jewelry, LOL! I usually just ended up using a clip because I found that a lot of lanyards rubbed across my shirt/chest and left pills, discoloration, or pulled on the fabric. THIS shop has it down, using a gentle, soft cord that is adjustable. She has so many great silicon bead choices which are nice and light-weight, and it’s awesome that they’re washable and BPA free! She can custom any order (think school colors!) and metal color, plus is offering 10% off your purchase with code TEACHERFASHIONISTA10. I am so in love with these and highly recommend them! Any teacher would love this gift! She also does bracelet keychains, and I am just as into those! 🙂

Teacher T-Shirts / Stickers / Pins / Bags

Another favorite shop of mine is De’Avion Blu Innovations founded and run by Tiffaney (another fellow teacher!)! We connected when she sent me my #Teach tee to feature a few years back. It became a quick teacher fav to wear with jeans on Fridays, or under cardigans with a pair of dress pants any other day of the week. Now I own a couple of tees from her, and have my eye on a sweatshirt! 😉 She also sells the cutest stickers (think for your water bottle or lap top), and pins (to put on your denim jacket or a cute canvas bag!).  Any of her shop items would make a wonderful gift for a teacher in your life!

Here’s a sample of what she offers — click HERE to shop! She’s running a deal right now through Saturday where you can get 30% off your order with BlkFriday!

SHOP SMALL FOR CLAY CREATIONS

Clay Earrings / Gifts / Small Shop Markets

Jeannie is an artist (and has been teaching for a couple years, too!) with a big heart who founded Jay’s Clay to not only share her creative passion, but to donate to special causes. I admire so much her ability to design and create such beautiful things, AND be an incredible mom AND teacher. She is a ray of sunshine in the small business world! She drops collections pretty often, and you can always find the details (and stylings/try ons) on her Instagram stories! She is also a huge part of small shop collaborations. A must-follow for handmade goods!

SHOP SMALL FOR AT-HOME MANICURE SETS

Color Street Nails

One of my close friends sells Color Street Nails, so I just had to give her a shout out! If you’re looking for a great gift or enjoy doing your own nails, these are so fun and easy!  They also make awesome stocking stuffers for teenagers, busy moms, and women who like painted nails but don’t have time for nails to dry or salon appointments. The glitter ones are so fun for doing accent nails, too!

How are you changing up your shopping this year? I am hoping to shop small for more of my gifts this year and support little businesses trying to stay open in 2020. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and start to the holiday hustle and bustle! (My favorite!)

XO

Jules
